Katherine has included ADUs as part of her infill subdivisions in many projects. Currently, she has seen over 50 ADUs built in Santa Rosa, CA where they have been encouraged. Some have a living area at grade with a bedroom above a garage, most are entirely over two or three-car garages. ADUs are typically small and are often limited in size by the city or county in which they are proposed. A range of 400-800 sf is typical. Katherine has designed several at grade ADUs as part of conceptual plans and can design plans to meet individual needs.
